| The Night Has a Thousand Eyes is a leaded Venetian glass mosaic panel commissioned by Retina Consultants, Ltd. for its clinic in Fargo, North Dakota, 1989. This whimsical view of the retina is designed to resemble a forest at dusk (the setting sun is the macula lutea.) Peering out from among the "branches" (blood vessels) are eyes of every description: human, cat, fish, owl, reptile and even a cartoon character. Inspiration for the theme came from the 1963 classic The Night Has a Thousand Eyes, by Bobby Vee, a Fargo native. |
