Creation Windows: From Darkness to Light

Creation's story is often divided into three sections: separation, population and celebration. In the beginning, on the first day, God separated light from darkness. beginning on the left, we move from darker to brighter glass, filled with the color and light to mirror God's Creation.

On the second day, God separated the dome of the sky from the waters.

On the third day, God created the dry land; the earth's flourishing vegetation echoes the New Testament reference to the vine, branches and fruits of the Spirit.

Unifying these windows is a ribbon of light, begining in the first window, where it is separated by God's hand from the shadows around it. On the second day, the ribbon becomes the line separating sea and sky, and on the third day this ribbon of light, water and sky forms a vine which bears lush fruit.
